Focus Reader is a browser extension that helps you read web pages more comfortably. Your privacy matters to us, and this policy is simple.
Focus Reader does not collect, store on our servers, sell, or share any personal information. There is no tracking, no analytics, and no advertising.
The extension saves your feature preferences (which modes are on, font, theme, speed, etc.)
using your browser's built-in storage (chrome.storage). If you are signed into your
browser, these settings may sync across your own devices via your browser account.
They are never sent to us or to any third party.
To apply reading aids (readable mode, ruler, calm, color overlay, declutter, guided reading, bionic), the extension reads and restyles the text of the page locally, in your browser. This happens only when you turn a feature on. Page content is not collected, stored, or transmitted anywhere.
All code runs locally from the installed extension. Focus Reader does not load or execute remote code and makes no network requests to our servers. (The bundled OpenDyslexic font is a local resource inside the extension.)
The extension contains optional links to Ko-fi (to support development) and a Tally feedback form. These open only if you click them, and they are governed by the privacy policies of those services. We receive only what you choose to submit there.
Focus Reader collects no data from anyone, including children.
If this policy changes, we will update the date above.
Questions or requests: use the in-extension "Suggest an idea" form, or contact the developer (PixelKava).
